Olympic Air has signed a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways. Through the agreement, Olympic Air will offer flights and tickets for the Athens-Abu Dhabi-Athens routes operated by Etihad, as well as for selected flights from Etihad’s Abu Dhabi base to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Sydney and Melbourne. In turn, Etihad customers will be offered better connections to Athens, Rhodes, Thessaloniki, Bucharest and Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital. Sales for the flights under the deal start on 15 May to travel from 18 May. Having only operated since September 2009, Olympic Air has one of the youngest fleets in Europe with 16 Airbus planes, 14 Bombardier aircraft and a ATR-42.
