Oman signs air services MoU with Australia

Omani air services authorities have signed an air transport pact with Australia, paving the way for an open skies agreement between the two countries.The MoU will pave the way for the initial introduction of four weekly flights linking Muscat with Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. Further routes are expected to be introduced pending demand for both markets.Abdulrazzaq bin Said al Mantheri, Director of Air Transport at the Omani Aviation Affairs Department, signed the MoU on behalf of the Sultanate.The designated national airlines for both countries involved in the negotiations were Oman Air, Virgin Blue Airlines and Qantas.
