Orissa Buddhist monuments to be protected

The Ministry of Culture and Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation has allocated US$87,300 (INR40.71 lakh) this financial year for the protection of five Buddhist monuments in Orissa. The allocation is used for the conservation and development of these monuments, stated a PIB report. The ministry allocated US$63,300 during the last financial year. The Buddhist monuments are located in Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri, Udaygiri, Langudi and Dhauli in Orissa.
