Outrigger Resorts has launched a new Chinese-language website.
The Mandarin site, outriggerresorts.cn, marks the latest bid by the luxury resort operator to target the world’s largest outbound travel market. The company is also utilising WeChat and Sina Weibo social media channels and has established an office in Beijing.
All the new online channels will be operated by Outrigger’s Beijing-based team.
“China is one of the most important source markets for tourism in Hawaii, Asia Pacific and our Indian Ocean locations,” said Sean Dee, Outrigger’s chief marketing officer.
“Our online presence in the Mandarin language serves to enhance our relationship between Outrigger Resorts and customers in China as we seek to provide guests with one-of-a-kind experiences in some of the most iconic beachfront destinations in the world.”
The launch of the Chinese website comes as Outrigger prepares to launch its first resort in the Maldives – a popular destination for affluent Chinese travellers.
