Pakistan-China road link blocked by mudslides strand

At least 200 vehicles were left stranded on the main road linking China and Pakistan after more than 30 mudslides hit the highway in northwest China’s Xinjiang, Xinhua has reported. No casualties have been reported, and the local government has ordered transport workers to clear the highway. The 1,000km China-Pakistan highway crosses mountains, rivers and glaciers on the northwest China plateau.
