Philippine Airlines (PAL) expects to generate US$30 million a year by introducing cost-cutting measures, including reducing its free baggage allowance from 70kg to 50kg on routes to North America, Bernama has reported.
PAL’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Jaime J. Bautista, said; “It is great move of PAL to take initiatives in reducing its free baggage, reducing the amount of water it carries on board and lowering food choices offered during flights.”
