Parts of UK skies closed again

Scotland and Northern Ireland’s skies have been closed again due to another volcanic ash cloud from Iceland. bmi cancelled its flights to and from Dublin and Glasgow this morning. Loganair has also cancelled a number of flights but airports in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Kirkwall and Dundee remain operational. “A decision relating to the operation of afternoon flights will be taken by midday once details of any no-fly zone from 13:00 hrs is made available by the CAA,” said Loganair Commercial Director Jonathon Hinkles.
