(28 Aug 09) In today’s economy, people tend to stretch their dollars to the most and be cautious on every penny spent. As they tend to pay too much attention to the price tag before they make a purchase decision, Man Ho Chinese Restaurant at the SkyCity Marriott Hotel is taking your hassle away by introducing an unusual concept - “Pay Whatever You Please” for a mystery dinner at the newly opened 5-star hotel.
A maximum of 5 tables will be reserved each evening from Wednesday to Friday, between 27 August and 30 September 2009 at Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, for the “Pay Whatever You Please Mystery Menu”. Accommodating up to a maximum of 8 adults per table, guests will be served a “mystery menu” created by Executive Chef Ricky Wu. Though what’s on the menu will not be unveiled until dinner starts, and it is up to Chef Wu on what and how the food will be cooked, guests will be guaranteed a 6-course dinner (including appetizer and dessert) and will be enquired for their dietary requirements when they arrive at the restaurant. Besides, adventurous guests are assured that all ingredients are fresh from the market, while all dishes are cooked a la minute with generous portions and not every table is getting the same thing. At the end of the dinner, guests can decide how much they want to pay based on what they feel the dinner is worth, taking into consideration the ambience and overall experience at the restaurant. However a tea charge of HK$22 nett per person is compulsory, and any other beverage will be charged according to menu price on consumption basis? and no leftover takeaway is allowed. To try this extraordinary dinner, advance reservation by phone is mandatory and each guest can only book one table at a time. All reservations are first come first served.
