The Peninsula Hotels has become a member of DestinationElite, the luxury travel and lifestyle marketing alliance.
All of the Hong Kong-based hotelier’s properties will now be marketed and sold through the DestinationElite website, including a range of exclusive offers.
“The Peninsula Hotels represents the very pinnacle of global elite hospitality… so it was an obvious choice that they would be among the first luxury hotel brands invited to become members of the DestinationElite alliance,” said Mark Greedy, CEO of DestinationElite.
“DestinationElite will work tirelessly to return The Peninsula’s confidence. Our primary focus will be showcasing and selling the Peninsula Hotels’ finest suites, which aligns perfectly with our business model.”
Simon Yip, Peninsula’s vice president of sales, said he was “delighted to accept the invitation”.
“We have known Mark as an hotelier for many years, and have always respected his drive, vision and experience in the world of luxury tourism. We’re therefore excited to be a part of his next venture, and feel that our two brands share a natural synergy in terms of creating memorable travel moments for our guests,” Yip added.
DestinationElite started out as Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific, but has now expanded its range of products and members to include city hotels, cruises, fashion labels and luxury real estate, among others.
Travel Daily will be interviewing Mark Greedy next week, so stay tuned for the latest updates from DestinationElite.
