A statue of the late Indian philosopher, Chinmoy Kumar Ghose, will be unveiled at Club Himalaya in Nagarkot town, Nepal, later this week. The event, organised by the New York-based Sri Chinmoy Centres International, will be attended by an estimated 450 followers from 50 countries reported IANS.
To celebrate the works and influence of the controversial philosopher, the unveiling will be marked with a concert in Kathmandu on 15 January and a “World Harmony Run” on 17 January. The 450-strong delegation is the first large delegation to visit the country in Nepal’s Year of Tourism 2011.
