Two people were killed in Phuket on Sunday after heavy rains triggered a mudslide at a hillside construction project near the tourist hub of Patong. The Phuket Gazette reported that almost four days of continuous rains had saturated the slopes in the days leading up to the incident. The land was being developed for a resort project, the report added.
