An Indonesian airliner was forced to land without its front landing gear, according to a Straits Ties report. The Lion Air McDonnell Douglas MD-90 with 156 passengers on board was landing at Batam’s Hang Nadim airport en route from Medan when the incident happened. The plane reportedly landed safely, with the pilot having emptied as much fuel as possible to reduce the fire risk.
Nine people were reportedly treated for shock, the Straits Times added.
