One of the tyres of an Airbus A320 run by private Indonesian company Batavia Air burst upon landing yesterday but no one was aboard was injured, a report said.
The incident took place as the jet, which had left Jakarta’s Sukarno-Hatta airport, landed at the Polonia airport in Medan, North Sumatra, Antara news agency was quoted by AFP.
The plane was carrying a crew of seven and 140 passengers.
Antara quoted one of the passengers as saying the plane had circled above the city for about an hour before landing and that the crew had informed those on board that there was a problem.
