Premier Inn is building its first hotel in Abu Dhabi within the ADNEC’s Capital Centre. The 242-room hotel is expected to be ready by September 2011 and cost AED 120 million. The Bedouinns restaurant and The Retreat bar will be available to guests as well as a podium sundeck with swimming pool and spa. “We are delighted to have secured this prime plot in Capital Centre,” said Premier Inn Middle East Managing Director Darroch Crawford. Capital Centre is a micro-city of 23 mixed-used towers built next to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). “I am confident that ADNEC’s plans to further develop the site will ensure that leading hospitality providers such as Premier Inn will benefit from being located in one of the most commercially viable destinations in Abu Dhabi,” said ADNEC’s CEO Simon Horgan. Premier Inn already has three hotels in the UAE at Dubai Investments Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai International Airport. “Demand from travellers to the UAE seeking high quality budget hotel accommodation has been growing over the last few years,” added Crawford.
