Premiere Classe opens in UK

Premiere Classe has announced it will open a hotel in Coventry this month, the first in the UK. “We liked the dynamics of the Coventry market as it has strong business and leisure communities and is a competitive market for budget hotels,” explained Lourve Hotel Operations Director for Northern Europe David Anderson to Travel Daily. He continued to say the success of Premiere Classe in Europe had been down to location and the brand already has 220 hotels across France, Belgium, Poland and Holland. “I feel that [in Coventry] there is room for a super-budget segment as we differentiate from Travelodge and the others in price, while maintaining facilities such as wi-fi and satellite television,” continued Anderson. “We can sustain a great rate, compete more aggressively and introduce something consumers want, which is a good price without disturbing the quality,” he added.
