The first Pullman Hotel by Accor is all set for its summer opening later this year.
The opening of Pullman Gurgaon will mark the entry of this prestigious luxury brand into the Indian market, joining Accor’s Novotel, Ibis and Mercure properties which are already operational in India.
Located in the corporate satellite city of New Delhi, Pullman Gurgaon Central Park will feature 285 rooms and suites, alongside amenities pursuant of the brand’s three pillars: convivial hospitality, tranquillity and connectivity.
There will be a strong focus on business travellers as the new property looks to carve out a market share in the capital city.
Scott Davies, General Manager, Pullman Gurgaon Central Park said; “We accord special attention to ensure flawless success for meetings, seminars and events at our hotels.
In an entirely novel approach, the Pullman ‘Co-Meeting’ concept assures the services of an IT Solutions Manager in addition to a dedicated Event Manager role.”
Jean-Michel Casse – Senior Vice President Operations Accor India added; “We believe Pullman Hotels will enable Accor to participate in the fast paced growth being experienced in the business and MICE segment in India.”
If all goes according to plan, Accor will have an additional 21 new properties operating in India by the end of 2012, adding over 4,800 rooms to the company’s country-wide room inventory.
This represents a massive expansion from its current platform of eight hotels representing 1,525 rooms.
Commenting on the forthcoming hotel opening, Michael Issenberg, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Accor Asia Pacific, said; “India today is one of the world’s most exciting growth markets with strong demand across all segments.
Accor is evolving and expanding its business in India with a bold growth strategy.
The introduction of the Pullman brand is part of this strategy to strengthen our portfolio to forge distinctive, powerful and complementary positions across the various segments.”
