Qantas will add four trans-Tasman flights using wide-body aircraft to cater for Rugby World Cup fans. The airlines will operate the additional Airbus A330 services on the Sydney-Auckland-Sydney sector on 1 and 3 October 2011 (two return flights).
Qantas’ Acting Regional General Manager for New Zealand & Pacific Islands, Shirley Field, said; “We have injected over 1,700 seats into the market and received an overwhelming response. We will continue to monitor demand and assess where further capacity is required.”
