Qantas has said that sales of its premium seats have fallen about 30% as the global recession curbs demand for corporate travel. Bloomberg reported the carrier’s CEO, Alan Joyce, as saying that the company is reviewing its fleet configuration and may change seat arrangements as a result.
Qantas “has seen a drop in premium demand and seen heavy discounting in the leisure market,” Joyce was quoted saying in an interview with Bloomberg.
