Passengers travelling on the Qantas flight that suffered a dramatic loss of altitude over Western Australia earlier this week will be offered refunds and free flights, the airline has announced.
“We will be arranging to refund the cost of all the Qantas travel on their itinerary in the form of an ex-gratia payment,” a Qantas spokesperson said. “We will also provide each customer with a Qantas travel voucher for the value of an equivalent flight between Australia and London.”
Passengers suffered fractures and lacerations as the Airbus A330 dropped suddenly en route from Singapore to Perth on Tuesday.
