The Qatar Chamber and an Indian business delegation have teamed up to promote ‘Vibrant Gujarat’. Both parties have signed a memorandum of co-operation to further enhance trade relations of both countries.
Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) vice-chairman and managing director Bidyut Behari Swain was quoted in Gulf Times saying that the signing of the memorandum of co-operation was recommended by Indian ambassador Sanjiv Arora.
Qatar Chamber vice-chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Tawar al-Kuwari said: “A number of Qatari entrepreneurs have made investments in real estate, hospitality, leisure and similar ventures in India while Indian banks and other financial institutions were keen to do business in Qatar. Private sector cooperation assures, obviously, both countries’ keenness to further enhance strong relationships between them at different levels.”
Swain said the Indian delegation was in Qatar for a three-day business road show to promote the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ 7th global summit.
