RAK Airways will soon connect Islamabad and Amman.
Murabit Al Sawaf, president and CEO of RAK Airways, said: “The airline is visualizing a strategic growth path with new destinations and increase in its fleet size.”
The two new destinations will commence next month – Islamabad on 5 August and Amman on 7 August 2013.
The airline has witnessed strategic growth with passenger numbers reaching 300,000 in 2012 and in the first quarter of 2013, the numbers have jumped to 40%.
The airline currently connects Lahore and Peshawar in Pakistan. In the first half of 2013, the airline increased its frequency to Lahore and Peshawar from two to three flights a week, to meet passenger demand.
Al Sawaf further added: “We look forward to encouraging more passengers i.e. leisure, business and tourism from Ras Al Khaimah to Jordan and from UAE to Jordan as well. This will positively impacting the tourism and industry of both economies.”
