RAK prepares for Arab Aviation and Media Summit

Ras Al Khaimah is preparing itself for the 2014 Arab Aviation and Media Summit. The event is bein held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.
The summit is a joint industry initiative scheduled to take place on 24 September 2014 at the Hamra Convention Center in Ras Al Khaimah. The theme for this year is Aviation and Tourism: Common Vision and Purpose, and will see industry stalwarts across the region come together to discuss the growing significance of partnerships between tourism and aviation.
The other areas of discussion are the current trends and challenges faced by the avia-tourism sector in the Arab world and its impact on social and economic growth.
Adel A Ali, group chief executive officer, Air Arabia said: “As the aviation industry continues to grow throughout the Arab world, the link between aviation and tourism becomes increasingly significant.”
This year’s Summit will highlight an exchange ideas and strategies to address the challenges faced by the sector. Last year, the event drew more than 150 participants and took place in Salalah.
