A rare loris has been found under a parked car in Shanghai. According to a Shanghai Daily report, the primate had been kept as a pet and escaped. The find comes just week after two lorises were discovered on a long-haul bus on the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway. Nobody claimed the animals and they were sent to Shanghai Zoo.
The loris, a first-class protected animal, looks like a small monkey but has grey skin and a pair of distinctive panda-like eyes. The animal comes from southwest China and is near extinction, the report said.
