A pesky rat held up a London-bound Air India flight by nearly 11 hours on Saturday, The Economic Times has reported. The service, carrying 238 passengers from Amritsar to Heathrow was scheduled to depart at 6.30am on Saturday, but the rodent was discovered by passengers prior to take off, and a search for the rat ensued. The plane eventually took off at 5.30pm.
“A rat entered the aircraft and the staff was searching for it. The flight was delayed by several hours,” Amritsar’s Airport Director, Chinson Panakal was quoted saying.
