Record start to year for Asiana Airlines

South Korean carrier, Asiana Airlines, has seen a record-breaking start to 2010, in terms of passenger numbers. According to a Korea Herald report, Asiana carried 876,000 passengers in January. February’s total of 833,000 was the airline’s third-highest monthly total on record. The fourth week of February also set a new weekly high, with 223,000 passengers, the report said, while the airline’s daily record was broken on 21 February when it carried 34,000 passengers.
