Work has begun to restore Cambodia’s Preah Vihear temple complex, the Phnom Penh Post has reported. UNESCO has contributed US$50,000 to the project, which has also received funding from the government and private donors. The restoration work will see the gateway to the temple rebuilt and 2,000 hectares of surrounding land re-forested.
