Royal Jordanian has decided to renew the contract signed in 2011 with AFI KLM E&M covering component support for its Airbus A330s.
The agreement includes repairs and access to the spares pool on a flight hour basis. Royal Jordanian president / CEO Captain Haitham Misto signed the contract with senior vice president commercial AFI KLM E&M Fabrice Defrance.
The contract is set to run until the scheduled retirement of the aircraft from the Royal Jordanian fleet. Royal Jordanian will receive AFI KLM E&M expertise on the A330 product and experience of phase outs and major compliance issues in connection with components of aircraft retired from a commercial fleet.
Captain Haitham Misto said: “During the recent tender process, we were able to gauge and appreciate AFI KLM E&M’s desire to maintain privileged ties with our airline.”
Fabrice Defrance said: “Royal Jordanian is one of our longest-standing clients and it was very important for us to again demonstrate to them our ability to combine a product offering the highest possible quality with an ultra-competitive offer tailored to its operational requirements.”
