Rotana has announced plans to focus on the outbound Jaipur market as a preferred source market to its hotels in the Middle East.
The hotel chain will be focusing on the residents of Rajasthan’s capital city due to its air connectivity and increasing demand for international travel.
Etihad Airways recently launched daily flights from Abu Dhabi to the city while road connectivity to airports has also improved.
Mr. Aman Aditya Sachdev, senior vice president, South Asia and South-East Asia for Rotana, said: “We believe that Jaipur is an ideal outbound source market for Rotana, owing to its great air connectivity and increasing demand from outbound travellers for international travel.
“Our brand enjoys a tremendous patronage from Indians travelling overseas and staying at Rotana hotels, both in terms of corporate and leisure travellers.
“Since India is also one of the largest trading partners for the majority of the countries where Rotana currently operates, this has resulted in a strong and sustainable relationship with our customers over the last two decades. Recognised for its award winning brand standards and service, Rotana shall continue enjoy an excellent response from the Indian outbound market.”
Rotana set up a sales office in India in 2011 and the Indian market now accounts for 9% of Rotana’s overall business. The hotel group aims to grow this by 14-15% in the coming years.
“We are working towards building on our current consumer base and creating additional long-term consumer and B2B relationships,” added Sachdev.
