Royal Brunei Airlines is pleased to announce the launch of a 4 times weekly service between Bandar Seri Begawan and Shanghai effective from 28 March 2010.
The launch of the direct service will allow for reduced travel times for those travelling from Brunei and neighbouring cities to and from Shanghai, which is the commercial hub of China. The timings of the Shanghai flights will also allow for greater travel options for our overseas markets, such as Australia and New Zealand.
Riaz Moiz, Executive Vice President of Commercial said, “This expansion is part of Royal Brunei Airlines’ strategy to grow the network, offer more options for the travelling public, and develop Brunei as a competitive hub in the region.”
He continues, “The travel market into and out from China is growing faster than most countries in Asia Pacific. Most, if not all, of the market segments such as business, holidays, students, and conventions, are forecasted to grow. Arriving at Pudong International Airport at 2:35pm and departing at 3:35pm are excellent flight timings. Our travels agents have been waiting for the Shanghai flights. The World 2010 Expo in Shanghai is another compelling reason.”
