Royal Caribbean announced today its new 2011-2012 Gulf Caribbean cruises are now open for booking. Under the new cruises Voyager of the Seas will debut in New Orleans, Louisiana and Mariner of the Seas will dock in Galveston, Texas. Holidaymakers can choose from a total of 45 sailings from November 2011 until April 2012. There are eight itineraries that call at eight Caribbean ports. “With our return to New Orleans in winter 2011, Royal Caribbean International will offer three vibrant and convenient Gulf Coast cities to embark on a memorable family holiday or winter getaway,” said Royal Caribbean International Senior Vice President Betsy O’Rourke. Guests on the vessels can take part in shore excursions for an additional charge, including a beach break in Cozumel, Mexico, swimming with stingrays in Grand Cayman or doing a high-rise obstacle course at Falmouth, Jamaica. Six, seven, eight and nine day cruises are available on the ships. Both ships feature Royal Caribbean’s rock-climbing wall, Studio B ice rink, mini-golf course, in-line skating track, basketball court, Royal Promenade, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
