Royal Garden unveils new urban resort in Hong Kong

The Royal Garden Kowloon East's new look is being unveiled in phases throughout 2026

Hong Kong's renowned Royal Garden hotel brand has expanded for the first time in 44 years with the opening of The Royal Garden Kowloon East in Tseung Kwan O this January.

The 366-room urban resort, a transformation of the former Crowne Plaza Kowloon East, is designed as an "oasis of calm" by Sun Hung Kai Properties, inheriting the Royal Garden's signature elegance.

The resort introduces a nature-inspired design and a vibrant mix of dining and lifestyle experiences. Area General Manager Jenny Chan describes it as a "bold evolution of the brand," catering to a new generation of discerning travellers.

The property features seven exclusive villas with private gardens, tailored for families and pet-friendly staycations, designed with a Balinese aesthetic.

The Royal Garden Kowloon East's new look is being unveiled in phases throughout 2026, with exclusive offers available on their website until 31 March.

Spaces for everyone's comfort

Guest rooms offer diverse options, from family-friendly interconnected setups to deluxe suites for groups, and the hotel also boasts themed family rooms, such as the Junk Bay Kids' Den and Family Fortress Room, providing unique holiday experiences.

Dining will be elevated with the upcoming Ponentino, a rooftop Italian restaurant inspired by the award-winning Sabatini Ristorante Italiano.

Scheduled to open in July, it promises a casual yet stylish dining experience with views of Tseung Kwan O's natural beauty.

The resort's amenities also include a 25-metre outdoor pool, a fitness centre, and a Kids Club. The Diamond Room 8, a contemporary event space, can accommodate up to 180 guests.

The eco-conscious design by LAAB Architects aligns with the preferences of Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha, blending indoor elegance with outdoor serenity.
