Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has announced the culmination of a US$35 million renovation of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok’s largest Starwood hotel. The riverside hotel’s renovation is part of a US$6 billion brand-wide global revitalization effort, which includes upgrading 180 hotels around the world, renovating 70,000 guestrooms and introducing new brand features.
The 27 year-old Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, which is located on Charoen Krung Road – Bangkok’s oldest road – offers 726 guestrooms and suites and more than 12,000m2 of meeting space.
The renovation has seen upgrades to all guestrooms, which now include features such as the ‘Sweet Sleeper’ bed, 42″ LCD flat-panel TVs, oversized work desks, a state-of-the-art entertainment system, and an upgraded high-speed internet connection. All rooms also now contain Sheraton’s newly launched spa product, ‘Shine by Sheraton’ as standard bathroom amenities.
The Towers Lounge has been relocated to the 27th floor, offering views of Bangkok and the river, and includes updated business amenities.
