Russia launches new visa centres in Mumbai and Delhi

Russia opened two new visa centres recently in Mumbai and New Delhi. Both the centres will cater to all categories of visa. Aleksei Surovtsev, consul general of the Russian Federation in Mumbai, inaugurated the centre in the presence of Vivek Sharma, regional head of Asia and Turkey of RVC and Anastasiya Sinha Roy, centre manager of RVC in Mumbai.

Surovtsev said: “Russia is one of the countries ready to welcome all categories of Indian travellers this season. Russia as a destination becomes even more attractive for the simplicity of visa application process, which was not affected by the new Covid regulations,” The centres will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with a dedicated call centre to answer all customer queries.

Surovtsev said that all categories of visa are being issued now and flights (àirlines) like Aeroflot and Air India are available for booking.

Keeping in the mind of pandemic impact, the latest edition to the visa centres portfolio is the postal application-increasingly popular service of applying from home. Other exclusive services offered for smooth customer experience include travel insurance by leading Russian company Rosgosstrakh (which includes coverage of Covid cases and offers local contacts for support in Russia), HIV tests for work and student visas, documents pre-check, premium lounge and many others.
