Russian airline, Vladivostok Avia (Vlad Avia), has responded to growing demand by setting up charter flights to Saipan, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has reported. The carrier has set up three trial flights to establish if there is sufficient demand to operate regular scheduled flights from the eastern Russian city of Vladivostok direct to Saipan, which lies in the Northern Mariana Islands. The first of these charters, scheduled for 28 December and using Vlad Avia’s TU204-300 aircraft, is already fully booked according to PATA.
