Ryanair launches London Stansted-Rhodes route

Ryanair is to fly from London to the Greek island of Rhodes - the first year that the carrier will be offer flights to Greece from the UK. The Stansted-Rhodes route will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while a second service announced earlier this week, from Liverpool to Rhodes, will be a twice-weekly service. Rhodes Airport is the third largest airport in Greece in terms of international passenger traffic, after Athens and Heraklion-Crete, receiving every year more than 1.2 million international arrivals. With the addition of the new Ryanair flights, Rhodes is now directly connected with 16 UK airports during the summer season.
