Six traditional cultural dances will be among the highlights of this year’s Sabah Fest, taking place in Kota Kinabalu from 30 April to 1 May 2011. Malaysian news agency, Bernama, reported that the six dances, which are all native to the Borneo state, have never been displayed at the event before. Visitors to the event will also be able to see demonstrations of local handicraft-making from Sabah’s ethnic groups, and try out traditional food. The event will be held at the city’s Sutera Harbour Resort.
