Sabre appoints new EMEA senior VP

Harald Eisenaecher set to take up his appointment on September 1…Sabre Travel Network has appointed Harald Eisenaecher senior vice president of Sabre Travel Network, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He officially starts with Sabre on 1 September 2011. Eisenaecher replaces Martin Cowley who is returning to Australia. Cowley will remain with Sabre and help drive the company’s growth in Asian markets. Eisenaecher joins Sabre from Deutsche Telekom AG, where he most recently held the role of senior vice president, personal and social networking. Prior to that, Harald was managing director and vice president, marketing and sales at eBay Germany, and vice president, marketing with Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Lufthansa Cargo AG. Eisenaecher said: “I am very excited to join Sabre which has a passion for customers, a rich history of innovation and a talented team. I also like the dynamic of the travel industry and I look forward to helping Sabre EMEA build on its success around the region.”
