Sabre secures deal with thetrainline.com

Sabre Travel Network has signed a new agreement with onlinetrain ticket retailer thetrainline.com.
The deal means that thetrainline.com’sbooking system (TOTI) will be integrated into Sabre’s GDS and other onlinebooking tools. Agents will also be able to use its passenger name record toolto include the booking data in their own system. Other features includegraphical seat plans; the ability to set a seat preference; view trainrouting/stopping patterns and agent administration.
Dean Bibb, vice presidentfor EMEA at Sabre said that rail content was in high demand amongst corporatetravel buyers and travel management companies. “It is therefore critical thatwe provide the travel trade with the content and technology the need to delivervalue to their customers and, in turn, grow their businesses,” he added.
“Withour international sales licence, our UK rail proposition is ideal for globaldistributors such as Sabre for whom it can enhance their content range to theirsubscribers,” said Ian Chaplin, head of international at thetrainline.com.
