Sabre Travel Network and British Airways have signed a three-year global distribution agreement, providing agencies and corporations with continued access to the airline’s full content via the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).Sabre, the world’s leading provider of high performance solutions, will continue to access all of the airlines published fares including those sold through direct and indirect channels. Corporations and agencies are set to benefit from this by being able to complete the sale using a new functionality based on industry technology standards known as Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMD). This new solution will allow agents to sell, report on and accept payments for ancillary products. It also ensures that travellers are clear about their options, and integrates into an agency’s back-office system.”Our new agreement with British Airways meets the evolving needs of our agency customers,” said Vice President for Sabre Travel Network Martin Cowley.
