Sabre Airline Solutions Asia-Pacific regional vp Andrew Powell said his team “has been using sophisticated techniques and the AirFlite application to assist airlines in China to understand exactly what flight services are the best fit.”
Air China reported US$417.50 million profit in the third quarter ended 30 Sep 06 after using AirFlite technology and projects its full year net profit to increase 50% compared to last year. The aviation industry in China has been growing at a rapid rate, higher than the world’s average and Powell confirmed Sabre will continue to partner with these Chinese carriers by supplying airline technology and expertise.
Over 60 airlines currently operate Sabre’s AirFlite Planning and Scheduling Suite which features flight functions including scheduling, forecasting and analysis, profitability and fleet and network optimisation and ‘easy to use’ screens.
