Sabre Travel Network has announced today that it will roll-out the new Sabre Red Automated Exchanges solution. The new tool will allow agents to exchange and reissue air tickets through an automated process, which is expected to save up to 20 minutes. “Automated Exchanges significantly reduces time and training required for new agents, enhances efficiency and productivity by simplifying the exchange, and enables agencies to spend more time providing value to their customers rather than working on a process,” explained Sabre’s EMEA Senior Vice President Martin Cowley. The product can be used with the Refunds and Exchanges tool to show low fare options and alternative flight times. “Our participation in the beta program has shown great results and we are especially pleased with the significant time savings we’ve seen,” said TD Travel Group Managing Director John Owen. Automated Exchanges is available for 50 of the most popular airlines and represents 80% of ticket reissues processed through Sabre.
