Saint Lucia Tourist Board has welcomed the new that British Airways will expand its services to the island next summer. The airline will offer a daily non-stop service to Saint Lucia from 27 March 2011 instead of the usual five day operations. Agents will be able to offer four seat classes onboard the route, including First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller. “We’re delighted to hear that BA will be expanding its services to Saint Lucia next summer,” said SLTB’s Director of Marketing UK and Europe Patricia Charlery-Leon. “This shows the commitment of the airline to the island on the back of very positive capacity figures for 2010. The new frequencies will afford agents and operators greater flexibility and choice for their customers and will serve to increase UK visitor numbers significantly.”
