In an effort to strengthen its Omani work force, Salalah Rotana Resort is aggressively focusing on its ‘Duroob’ programme. The initiative aims to increase the rate of Omanisation at the resort.
“We have put more initiatives in place to increase the search and recruitment of Omani citizens. Working in Salalah shares similarities with working in the GCC region, in that the government encourages its initiative to employ a minimum number of its citizen,” said Claudio Melli, general manager of Salalah Rotana Resort.
The ‘Duroob’ programme has been developed by Rotana for all its hotels across the Gulf countries. In addition to being a fast track development programme that will drive the local talent to grow faster within the hospitality industry, the programme also addresses unemployment among citizens.
