A range of boat tours have been launched by Sea Cruisers, a new company owned by an Emirate businessman.Sea Cruiser will operate two ADTA (Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority) licensed GulfCraft boats which hold 18 passengers and two crew - a pilot and lifeguard. Each boat has GPS navigation, tracking equipment, radios and safety equipment for emergencies. Yaser Al Hamiri, Owner, said: “Before I started Sea Cruiser I had my own small boats which I would take out for fishing, and friends would constantly ask me to take them out and show them around the small islands that surround Abu Dhabi city. I couldn’t keep up with the demand, so it was logical for me to take the next step and start up a dedicated business with larger boats.”Trips include a visit to the capital Corniche, as well as diving, snorkelling, fishing and all-day cruises of the islands off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Mr Al Hamiri is also hoping to extend the routes once new marinas and waterways are opened. He added: “This is without doubt the best way to explore the many natural islands surrounding Abu Dhabi city, and it really is something special to be able to immerse yourself in the fantastic scenery and feel ‘at one with nature’ with the city skyline in the distance.”
