Seoul is planning to expand the operation of environment-friendly ‘green vehicles’ in some areas of the city, as part of efforts to enhance air quality and cut greenhouse gas emissions. According to a Korea Herald report, the capital will replace old diesel buses with electric ones on three routes next year. In total 15 electric buses will be put into operation in a phases roll-out. In addition, the city plans to establish more than 7,000 electric vehicle rechargers in Seoul by 2020 for the expected increased use of personal electric vehicles.
