Airline routes from Glasgow Aiport have been increased due to a rise in demand and popularity from the site. easyJet has added another 3,000 extra seats on its Glasgow to Jersey route, which will now run until 29 October. “Jersey has a huge offering and has proved a popular new addition for us in Glasgow,” said Hugh Aitken, commercial manager at easyJet. The airline has also announced flights from Glasgow to Amsterdam from next month. Meanwhile, Eastern Airways has launched flights from Glasgow to Stavanger in Norway. The direct service now operate three times a week. “The new Stavanger service adds yet another valuable route to our network of flights around the world and is a boost for both business and the short break tourist market,” said Gordon Matheson, leader of Glasgow City Council and chair of Glasgow City Marketing Mureau. “Even in these tough times Glasgow is constantly improving its air links and we will continue to work hard to build on this latest success”.
