Shangri-La’s new hotel in Tianjin has opened for reservations.
The 304-room Shangri-La Tianjin is located in the Hedong district of the city, next to the Haihe River. All rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the river and city. There are also 39 serviced apartments ranging from studios to one- and two-bedroom units for mid- to long-term accommodation.
Facilities at the new property include the Shang Palace and Café Yun restaurants, plus a 24-hour gymnasium, a temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool that overlooks the river, two outdoor tennis courts on the rooftop and Shangri-La’s Chi spa.
For the corporate and events market, Shangri-La Tianjin offers the largest amount of conference and banqueting space in the city. This includes a 1,956m² grand ballroom capable of holding up to 1,700 people, a second 380m² ballroom, an outdoor terrace and eight function rooms.
The hotel is located within Tianjin Kerry Centre and connected to a shopping mall that includes a 1,700m² Kids Adventure Zone and an ice rink.
Shangri-La Tianjin becomes the Hong Kong-based hotelier’s 39th hotel in mainland China, and 15 more properties at due to open in the country in the coming years, including hotels in Zhengzhou, Sanya, Hangzhou and Hefei.
