Sharjah Summer Promotions 2010 has officially kicked off involving entertainment, promotion and marketing events until 20 July.
Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the annual event aims to stimulate business activities at shopping malls and traditional marketplaces and create a competitive environment for the retail and service sectors.
Sharjah Summer Promotions 2010 will run alongside other festivals across the country during the next 40 days introducing visitors to special promotional offers from different shopping malls and retail shops.
“Sharjah Summer Promotions reflects the Chamber’s commitment to fully supporting its members from the private sector,” said Mohammed Ahmed Amin, Assistant Director General of SCCI’s Department of Economic and International Affairs.
“These kinds of promotional and marketing events play key roles in boosting economic activity and increasing sales within the retail sector.
“We want to reinforce the contributions of economic establishments and events to the local GDP and the emirate’s overall growth as part of our efforts to offset the effects of the ongoing global downturn.”
