Sheraton spends US$100m on Club Lounge revamp
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Sheraton Hotels and its owners have invested more than US$100 million upgrading 120 Club Lounges around the world. The enhancement to Sheraton Club Lounges is the final part of the brand’s recent US$6 billion revitalization effort.
Sheraton’s Club Lounges generally offer complimentary breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres, beverage service, flat-screen television, Wi-Fi, and a selection of daily newspapers. They are also now open seven days a week following increase demand from leisure travellers.
“At a time when our competitors have scaled back their offerings, Sheraton has done the opposite. We decided to invest even further in our global portfolio with significant enhancements to our Club Lounges in order to deliver a higher level of productivity and luxury to our guests, not just on weekdays, but every day of the week,” said Hoyt
Harper, Global Brand Leader, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. “Our timing couldn’t be better. Travel has returned to pre-crisis levels and travelers are once again focused on upgraded amenities and services as key elements of the guest experience,” he added.
Most recently, Sheraton unveiled its re-designed Club Lounge at Sheraton Waikiki, a US$1 million investment that completed the hotel’s renovation. In May, the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers will debut a brand new Club Lounge offering city views.
