The winning entries in a contest to name sections to Singapore’s Formula 1 circuit have been announced, ChannelNews Asia reported. Among the winning entries are “Sheares” (the start-finish straight named after Singapore’s second President, Benjamin Sheares) and “Singapore Sling” (the tricky Turn 10 named after the famous Raffles cocktail).
The contest, organised by race organisers and TODAY, saw over 1,440 entries.
